Field Trips

 We are excited to invite public schools, private schools, pre-schools and home school groups to schedule a field trip experience at Project Play! 


Project Play provides opportunities for children to play in the museum’s educational exhibits and enjoy activities based on their age, interests and developmental abilities. The Museum serves as a destination for educators and groups looking to meet the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills curriculum and early learning standards.

Target Age

Early Childhood through Second Grade

Reserved

We reserve Mondays for school groups bigger than 15 to come visit during the HEB ISD school year. Dates are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis; it is helpful to have alternate dates in mind when submitting your request. 


During your field trip our museum will be closed to the general public, allowing you and your group 2 hours of private museum FUN! 

Time Slots

Standard time slots: 9:30 am-11:30am

Picnic lunch on the lawn: 11:30-12:00  (weather permitted) 


For groups over 25 students we can also open up a 12:00-2:00pm time block for additional students 


Capacity

25 students per time slot

Larger groups may schedule two time slots back to back  

Fee

$10 per child *$150 minimum regardless of the number of children who attend  

1:10 teacher to student ratio 

Required Teachers and Chaperones: FREE 

 

  • A $50 (non-refundable) deposit will be collected to secure the date and time
  • Full payment is due on the day of your scheduled visit. 
  • One week prior to your visit, you will receive an email with pre-visit information.

 We have a max capacity of 42 students per time slot 


Project Play Field Trips require one (1) adult chaperone for every five (10) students. Chaperones must be teachers, school staff with valid district identification, parents, guardians, or other adults over the age of 18 accompanying the group.   


 You will be greeted by our staff at our entrance, where you will check-in and receive a brief orientation for students, teachers, and chaperones. Groups arriving by bus should remain on the bus until they have received the orientation. The lead teacher will communicate with our staff inside and turn in all student waivers. 


 Timeslot extensions and refunds are not available. We will make every effort to ensure your experience is as positive as possible. However, strict adherence to timeslot is required to ensure other guests are receiving equitable time.   


Once your field trip has come to an end, please make your way to our museum entrance. A Project Play staff member will lead your group outside upon the completion of your visit.   


 If you must make changes to your reserved date and time, first contact projectplayoftexas@gmail.com  to cancel your existing reservation and book a new date and time.  


Changes can be made to the group size up to 12 days before the invoice due date by contacting projectplayoftexas@gmail.com


 Yes, the reservation fee applies toward the group admission total.  If a group cancels, the fee is non-refundable.
