Employment

About Us

At Project Play, we believe that play is the heart of learning. We're more than just a destination; we’re a community hub where families in Hurst, Texas, and surrounding areas come together to spark curiosity, creativity, and joy. Our center is designed for children of all learning styles to thrive through hands-on experiences that inspire both education and fun. Project Play is here to give the kids in our city a strong foundation for life, helping them grow into confident, capable, and compassionate adults—all while creating magical memories along the way.

2026-2027 Discovery School Teachers

There’s a different way to teach… and we’re building it here. Project Play Discovery School is currently seeking a certified elementary teacher to join our growing program for the upcoming school year.

Our elementary program is rooted in project-based learning, hands-on experiences, and small classroom environments where children are truly seen and known.

This is not a traditional classroom.

We operate in a 3–4 day hybrid model, blending strong academics with meaningful play, daily outdoor time, and intentional, child-centered learning. Our teachers have the freedom to teach creatively, build relationships deeply, and be part of something thoughtfully designed from the ground up.

And we’re building something really special here with the right team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certified teacher with experience in elementary grades
  • Passion for project-based, hands-on learning
  • Ability to balance structure with creativity
  • Strong classroom management with a warm, relational approach
  • Someone who values small class sizes and a collaborative team environment

The Role

  • Teach elementary students in a hybrid, multi-day model (3–4 days per week)
  • Lead engaging, project-based learning experiences
  • Support both academic growth and whole-child development
  • Partner with families in a meaningful and intentional way

Why Project Play

  • Small, curated class sizes
  • Play-based philosophy with strong academic alignment
  • Daily outdoor time and nature integration
  • Supportive, close-knit team culture
  • The opportunity to help shape and grow an innovative school model
